Professional tile installation

Beautiful tile is the result of decisions made before installation begins.

ARA Flooring Ltd installs tile for bathrooms, showers, floors, backsplashes, fireplaces, feature walls, exterior applications, and selected commercial spaces throughout the North Ridgeville area.

The ARA approach

More than setting tile.

A successful installation depends on the substrate, tile characteristics, movement, mortar coverage, layout, cuts, transitions, grout joints, and the way the space will be used.

We evaluate those factors before and during installation so the finished surface looks intentional and is supported by an appropriate assembly beneath it.

Built with precision. Finished with pride.

Scope

Tile applications

01

Bathroom Tile

Walls, floors, tub surrounds, feature areas, and complete bathroom surfaces.

02

Shower Tile

Waterproofed shower assemblies with planned slopes, niches, benches, drains, and edge details.

03

Kitchen Backsplashes

Layouts coordinated with cabinets, outlets, windows, ranges, corners, and focal areas.

04

Floor Tile

Substrate assessment, preparation, movement accommodation, balanced layouts, and clean transitions.

05

Fireplace Tile

Surrounds and feature walls planned around heat exposure, substrate, clearances, edges, and visual alignment.

06

Commercial Tile

Selected commercial installations where durability, scheduling, transitions, and maintenance requirements are clearly defined.

The hidden work

Behind every precise installation

Each stage supports the next. The finished surface is only as dependable as the preparation, planning, and decisions beneath it.

01

Surface Evaluation

The substrate is checked for condition, flatness, movement, moisture exposure, and compatibility with the intended finish.

02

Preparation

Necessary correction, underlayment, backer, waterproofing, or uncoupling work is completed before tile installation.

03

Layout

Reference lines, focal points, edge conditions, transitions, fixtures, and avoidable small cuts are considered.

04

Installation

Appropriate mortar, coverage, joint spacing, movement accommodation, alignment, and lippage control are managed.

05

Finishing

Grout, profiles, transitions, sealant joints, and exposed edges are completed according to the assembly and design.

06

Inspection

The finished installation is reviewed and relevant cure-time, use, cleaning, or maintenance guidance is provided.

Questions homeowners ask

Tile installation questions

Clear answers are part of a professional process. Project-specific conditions are always evaluated before final recommendations are made.

Can tile be installed over existing tile?

Sometimes, but only after evaluating bond, flatness, movement, transitions, added height, moisture exposure, and whether the existing assembly is suitable to remain.

What is the difference between porcelain and ceramic tile?

They differ in composition, density, absorption, strength, cutting behavior, and intended use. The correct choice depends on the application and the specific product—not only the label.

How long before I can walk on a new tile floor?

The answer depends on the mortar, grout, tile, substrate, environmental conditions, and manufacturer requirements. We provide guidance for the actual products used.

How do I choose grout color?

We consider the tile, desired contrast, joint width, maintenance expectations, lighting, and how consistent or varied the tile itself appears.
